Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a passion for delivering successful infrastructure projects? Lower 48 Energy BESS is seeking a Quantity Surveyor Manager to join our team and lead our UK-wide construction delivery programme. As one of our Project Managers, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our infrastructure projects from planning to handover, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

• To provide competent and professional quantity surveying expertise supporting capital programme investment delivery across several key projects.
• The ideal candidate should have an excellent working knowledge of infrastructure. The candidate will be expected to undertake duties through the project lifecycle including feasibility, estimating, procurement and post contract delivery.
• Assist in the preparation and verification of pricing models from first principles for projects of moderate complexity, and obtain, extract and use existing target price / fixed rates, together cost data from industry recognised publications e.g. SPONS & BCIS to price schemes.
• Prepare all tender and contract documentation, carrying out full tender analysis and comparisons through to preparing the recommendation report.
• Interface with the internal team to deliver professional and competent advice and support, to ensure that the projects are managed in accordance with the contract and meeting the required deadlines.
• Assess contractor payment applications.
• Liaise with all external and internal stakeholders to enable the projects to progress without delay.
• Liaise with the project manager to review and update the risk registers.
• Manage and report change control procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree qualified in quantity surveying.
• MRICS qualified.
• Proven track record delivering infrastructure related projects.
• Expertise in administering high value, multi-disciplinary construction project work packages / contracts utilising forms of contract such as the NEC3 / ICC suites.
• Comfortable communicating with all levels of senior management and stakeholders.
• Expert analytical skills to make informed, balanced business decisions and reporting findings back to the construction director.
